Error: Integration and connection test was successful from the Informatica Catalog Admin. but, when we run the resource, it fails.
- Go to Informatica Domain Admin web portal and make a new connection to Azure SQL
- In Metadata Access Properties, specify the connection string
- Connection String: jdbc:Informatica:sqlserver://<your server name>:1433;SelectMethod=cursor;DatabaseName=<your database name>;SnapshotSerializable=true;EncryptionMethod=SSL;HostNameInCertificate=*.database.windows.net;ValidateServerCertificate=false;CryptoProtocolVersion=TLSv1.2
- In Data Access Properties, specify the below:
- Provider Type: ODBC
- Use DSN: True
- Connection String: <Name of your DSN>
- Create a DSN entry for your Azure SQL in the Informatica > ODBC(version)>ODBC.ini file
- Make sure, you specify "EnableQuotedIdentifiers=1" otherwise the data preview and your profiling/mapping will fail.
- After your have created a DSN entry, specify the name in your Connection string of Data Access Properties.
- Test the connection.
- Go back to Informatica Catalog Admin and edit the Metadata settings.
- under common discovery options, set the source connection name to the connection that you created in the previous step.
