Tableau - Create Box plot visual to display the CAGR

Today, we will learn on how to ccreate and compare historical vs future CAGR using a box plot chart

Steps:
  • Create a calculated field to distinguish future vs historical data
  • Create another calculated field to calculate Max year value
  • Create another calculated field to calculate Min year value
  • Create another calculated field to calculate the CAGR
  • Drag CAGR value in the columns, and Dimension in the rows. 
  • Create a sum(0.0) dimension in the rows for the box plot line to appear
  • Your CAGR visual is ready.
